What we are accustomed to as mere game Playing Cards, can also be tools for a personal insight + identity/integrity system. 

Playing Cards are actually derived from the Minor Arcana of the TAROT archetypes.

52 cards = 52 weeks of the year

Red (feminine)  ~  Black (masculine)

Hearts (Cups) = Spring, Family/Relationships

Clubs (Staffs) = Summer, Education/Ambition

Diamonds (Coins) = Autumn, Values/Wealth

Spades (Swords) = Winter, Wisdom / Spirituality / Endings and Transformation

There is a form of divination called Cartomancy, but for our purposes here I am just looking at personal definers / refiners!

(as indicated by Sun card & Planetary Ruling card -- which relate to inner personality & public persona ascendant aspects)

The main universal idea is that

Our Potentials are defined by our Birthdate.

ADD the individual numbers from Day, Month, Year, (or specified sequence), then you deduce those to either a single digit (or a sacred combo)

Supposedly that number influences at least HALF of your Journey/Experience.

For Example,

The Number One path is a Pioneer.

Such a personality prefers to explore and create new combinations. They go crazy while trying to maintain other previous established systems. Though they may enjoy visiting and learning from the variety.

Our Names however, can be changed.

Like turning the dial on a TV/Radio Station, putting on different eye glasses, tuning an instrument, tailoring a shoe fit. It can change our worldview as well as our access to resources, and even internal balances/health.

 Not that such a change is appropriate for everyone. In many ways Name Changes can indicate forms of personal process / progress Life-Death-Rebirth markers.  And every combo has a different set of Strengths and Weaknesses to face and navigate.
